CHEQ: strongest on marketing integrations, weakest on explainability

CHEQ is a Forrester Q2 2026 Strong Performer. Best-in-class marketing and e-commerce integrations, the Deduce acquisition, numeric reason codes Forrester called hard to interpret, and per-product pricing.

CHEQ: strongest on marketing integrations, weakest on explainability

CHEQ comes at this market from a different direction than the rest. It started in ad fraud and click fraud, so its centre of gravity is the marketing stack rather than the security stack. The result is a real strength in one place and a real weakness in another.

What CHEQ is

The CHEQ Platform, operating from New York and Tel Aviv. CHEQ acquired identity specialist Deduce in early 2025 and is extending from go-to-market security into full bot and agent trust.

Where it leads

Marketing and e-commerce integrations, where Forrester rates CHEQ strongest of any vendor in the evaluation. That includes a Gold-level Adobe partnership. If the problem you are solving is that bot traffic is corrupting your attribution and burning paid budget, CHEQ is designed around that question in a way the security-first vendors are not.

Where Forrester identified gaps

Two things, and both are worth taking seriously in an evaluation.

Detection explainability. Forrester found that the UI returns numeric reason codes that customers find difficult to interpret. In practice that means when a real customer gets blocked, your team gets a number, and turning that number into an answer requires either the documentation or a support ticket.

Pricing structure. Customers buy each product separately. Compare that with Kasada and Arkose, which Forrester credits for bundling, and the total for equivalent coverage moves.

What it costs

Quoted, per product.

Where data is processed

New York and Tel Aviv operations. Prosopo can keep processing within the EU on the Enterprise plan, and an Enterprise customer can have a database to themselves, with no other site's visitors stored beside theirs.

How a block gets explained

Numeric reason codes. Forrester named this specific gap, and it is the clearest contrast with how Prosopo reports a block. When Prosopo stops a request the response carries the reason, for example Header signature not emitted by real browsers or Malformed request headers. Your team reads the string. There is no lookup step.

Who authors the rules

CHEQ, with customer configuration.

Which buyers CHEQ suits

CHEQ is the stronger fit if ad fraud, click fraud and analytics pollution are the primary cost, if you need deep integration with Adobe or a similar marketing stack, or if the buyer is a CMO rather than a CISO. Marketing-stack breadth is CHEQ's strongest ground and it is not where Prosopo competes.

How Prosopo compares

If the numeric reason codes are the reason you are looking. Every Prosopo block comes with a reason you can read, and the event behind it is drillable by request ID.

If you would rather buy one platform in one bundle. Prosopo ships the widget, edge enforcement, the rules engine, the detector library and the portal as one thing.

If the problem has moved from wasted ad spend to scraping, credential replay or inventory abuse, that is what our detection is built for.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is CHEQ?

CHEQ is a go-to-market security platform that grew out of marketing and ad fraud prevention and now extends into bot and agent trust. It acquired identity specialist Deduce in early 2025. CHEQ operates from New York and Tel Aviv. Forrester named it a Strong Performer in The Forrester Wave: Bot And Agent Trust Management Software, Q2 2026.

What is CHEQ best at?

Marketing and e-commerce integrations. Forrester rates CHEQ strongest of any vendor in the evaluation on that dimension, including a Gold-level Adobe partnership. If your bot problem is measured in wasted ad spend and polluted analytics, CHEQ is built for that.

What did Forrester criticise CHEQ for?

Detection explainability. The UI returns numeric reason codes that customers find difficult to interpret. Forrester also flagged that pricing requires buying each product separately rather than as a bundle.

How much does CHEQ cost?

CHEQ does not publish pricing, and Forrester notes that products are priced separately rather than bundled. Budget for the modules you need rather than a single platform number.

What is the best CHEQ alternative?

If you need the marketing-stack integrations, there is no close substitute in this category. If you are leaving because of the numeric reason codes or the per-product pricing, Prosopo returns a reason on every block and ships one platform in one bundle.
