Stuck on a CAPTCHA on another website?

The site you were using checks visitors with Prosopo. Here is how to get through, and what to do if you still can't.

What you saw

The website you were on uses Prosopo to tell people apart from bots. Most visitors pass without seeing anything. If something about your visit looked unusual, the site asked you to solve a puzzle or wait while your browser does a short calculation, and sometimes it may have refused the request.

Prosopo doesn't decide who that site lets in. The site's owner sets the rules.

How to get through

Most people get through with one of these:

  1. Try again. Reload the page and complete the check once more.
  2. Turn off your VPN or proxy. Many sites treat VPN, proxy and data-centre traffic as higher risk.
  3. Turn off browser extensions that block scripts, change your user agent or automate the page, then reload.
  4. Try a different browser, or your normal browser without private or incognito mode.
  5. Wait a few minutes if you made a lot of attempts in a row, then try again.

Still blocked?

Contact the website you were trying to use. Only its owner can change who gets through.

If you think Prosopo itself is broken on that site, tell us on the support page. Include the website address and what you saw, and an engineer will look into it.
